As we take leave of the Year of the Snake, we welcome the Year of the Horse in the spirit of hope. As the Spring Festival of 2026 approaches, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission carefully organized and coordinated a series of visits and outreach activities for retired officials, conveying the Party organization’s sincere care and heartfelt New Year wishes to senior colleagues across the system.

Led by Party Secretary Zhong Dongbo and Director Liu Juncai, together with other members of the Commission’s leadership team, and accompanied by heads of relevant Party and administrative departments, 14 visiting groups were formed. Through briefings, face-to-face discussions, home visits, and telephone greetings, the groups extended festive wishes to 40 representatives of retired officials within the system. At the same time, a New Year greeting letter was published on the Commission’s official website to send seasonal blessings to all retired officials across the system.

Years steep the bloom of youth in grace, and visits deeply warm the heart. During visits to retirees’ homes and senior experts’ studios, Commission leaders engaged in warm and cordial conversations, inquiring about their health and daily lives, reflecting on the years of dedication and shared challenges, and introducing the new achievements made in the capital’s health sector over the past year. They carefully listened to suggestions and advice offered by the retirees regarding future development. The leaders expressed sincere gratitude for the solid foundation laid and the important contributions made by retired colleagues to the development of the capital’s health sector, as well as for their continued commitment and exemplary spirit after retirement. They encouraged the retirees to take good care of their health and enjoy their later years, while continuing to support the advancement of the health sector by sharing their experience and wisdom.

The retired officials spoke highly of the progress achieved in the health. Their faces were beaming with gratified smiles. Their words reflected enduring dedication to their profession, strong affection for the institution, and confidence in the future. The changing seasons bring warmth as time progresses, and the twilight years reflect an unchanging original aspiration. Though retired, they affirmed that they remain closely connected to the health sector. They pledged to cherish its proud traditions, maintain their principles, continue to concern the health sector development in the capital, offer constructive advice, and pass on their experience to help advance the capital’s health work to new heights.

This coordinated outreach initiative not only conveyed care and enhance empowerment but also strengthened communication between departments and retired colleagues. It further inspired serving Party members and officials to learn from senior professionals, carry forward their professional spirit, and shoulder their responsibilities in the new era. In the lead-up to the Spring Festival, units across the Commission’s system also carried out visits and extended festive greetings to retired officials, fostering a strong atmosphere of respect, care, and support for senior colleagues.
