As the old year gives way to the new and the seasons turn once more, we stand at the threshold of a fresh beginning. On this joyful occasion of renewal, the Party Committee of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission extends its warmest New Year wishes and heartfelt regards to all retired colleagues across the system and to your families.
The path ahead is broad and steadfast, and success comes through hard work. Looking back on 2025, our journey has been marked by dedication and achievement. Through sustained effort and perseverance, we have reaped fruitful results in advancing the health and well-being of our residents. Health indicators have continued to improve, coordinated reform of medical services, medical insurance, and pharmaceuticals has achieved new breakthroughs, and the public’s sense of access to medical care has grown stronger. Both institutional development and industry empowerment have delivered tangible results, bringing the goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan period in the health sector to a successful conclusion. Bathed in the rosy glow of the setting sun, the late years shine in magnificent beauty. Retired veteran comrades recognized as Municipal “Double-Advanced” exemplars have fully demonstrated their exemplary spirit. The “Six-Good” initiative has expanded its impact from pilot efforts to broader implementation. The great spirit forged in the War of Resistance has been vividly carried forward. Medical assistance programs have brought tangible benefits to primary-level communities. Together, the young and the old move forward with firm and resonant steps, passing on the torch and jointly composing a new and splendid chapter for public health.
Chasing dreams across mountains and seas, striding forward with confidence. Looking ahead to 2026, those who set out with determination will see their plans through to completion, those who aspire to success begin with careful planning. We will uphold strategic planning as our guide, serve the overall national priorities with higher standards, deepen reform with greater resolve, respond to public needs with better services, and strengthen our support for both institutional and industrial development. In doing so, we will ensure a strong and steady start to health development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Though advanced in years, our veteran comrades remain full of lofty aspirations. We sincerely hope that they will continue, as always, to care for and support the cause of public health, pool the strength of the “silver generation,” contribute to strengthening primary-level services, and enable the beauty of later years to shine brightly. We will stay attuned to the demands of the times, foster a culture of respect and care for the elderly, and integrate the valuable advice and expectations of senior comrades into our development practices—working together to embrace an even brighter future.
