On September 25, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission convened the 2025 National Defense Education Month Promotion and Health Emergency Response Training Session for the health system in Beijing. Li Shupeng, a counter-terrorism expert from Beijing, delivered a keynote lecture focusing on three aspects: the current characteristics of terrorism, common manifestations of counter-terrorism activities, and the city’s counter-terrorism emergency response system.

With the theme “Carrying Forward the Spirit of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and Building a Great Wall of National Defense Together,” this event aimed to further strengthen the concept of national defense within the city’s health emergency system and enhance the defense awareness of health emergency teams. Nearly 400 participants attended, including representatives from the Municipal Health Commission, Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Municipal Disease Control Bureau, Beijing Hospital Authority, district health commissions, the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, the Emergency Management Center, Beijing Emergency Medical Center, Beijing Red Cross Blood Center, Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and hospitals and medical institutions at all levels.

The meeting also set forth requirements for medical emergency support during the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, as well as for medical treatment preparedness for infectious diseases in the autumn and winter seasons.
