Beijing Municipal Health Commission and Beijing Hospitals Authority Organize Visit to Smart Security and Logistics Management Platform of Fuwai Hospital

On February 14, 2025, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and Beijing Hospitals Authority jointly held the "Exchange Seminar on Basic Operations Support Informationization Construction of Municipal Hospitals" at Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The seminar focused on the theme "How Municipal Hospitals Can Leverage Artificial Intelligence to Empower Hospital Logistics and Security Operations." Over 80 participants, including hospital leaders and persons in charge of logistics and security from 22 municipal hospitals, attended the seminar to discuss new ideas and methods for the informationization of hospital basic operational support systems. Participants also toured Fuwai Hospital’s facilities.

The meeting was chaired by Wang Kaibin, Director of the Security and Safety Department of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission. He emphasized that effective logistics and security work is a prerequisite for the smooth operation of hospitals, and it is of great significance for the basic operational support of hospitals. All attendees were encouraged to learn from exemplary experiences in the construction of security and logistics information systems of Fuwai Hospital.

Li Tianqing, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Fuwai Hospital, first introduced the hospital's smart security management platform and discussed its core components, namely, the integration and transformation of management thinking with information technology. Through sharing applications of Fuwai Hospital’s smart security and fire safety platform, he highlighted how the system has significantly improved hospital security management and enhanced emergency response capabilities.

Li Zhiyuan, the Vice President of Fuwai Hospital, explained the hospital’s achievements in building a smart logistics management platform, covering five key areas: digital upgrades, refined management, quality improvement, energy conservation, and safety production assurance. He elaborated on how the smart logistics platform has brought tangible results in asset management, energy consumption monitoring, emergency response, team building, and business logic.

Fan Shimin, a Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Beijing Hospitals Authority, emphasized that the informationization of hospital logistics and security systems is an inevitable choice in response to the complex management environment. He commended Fuwai Hospital’s smart management system as a strong demonstration of success. Moving forward, he urged the leaders in charge of municipal hospitals to play a key leadership role in the systematic development of smart security and logistics platforms under the coordinated organization of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and the Beijing Hospitals Authority.
