On February 13, 2025, the Beijing Disease Prevention and Control Bureau and the Beijing Education Commission organized a citywide training meeting to deploy infectious disease prevention and control work in schools before the start of the spring semester.
The meeting reported on the recent infectious disease situation in Beijing and the cross-checking of key infectious diseases prevention and control in schools. A special training session was carried out on the technical points for preventing infectious diseases in schools.
The meeting emphasized that each district and unit should focus on safeguarding the health and safety of students and teachers while ensuring the normal operation of educational activities. The main points discussed for enhancing prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools include: 1. Strengthening departmental collaboration and reinforcing the guidance and training of infectious disease control systems in schools, promoting the orderly prevention of common diseases among students. 2. Focusing on critical aspects of infectious disease prevention and control, such as strengthening morning and afternoon health checks, tracking illness-related absences, ventilation and disinfection, and handling vomit properly to reduce risk and resolve potential hazards. 3. Strengthening cooperation between schools and families, actively conducting scientific public education, and creating a healthy and safe campus environment for teachers and students.
Leaders from district disease prevention and control bureaus, education commissions, municipal and district centers for disease prevention and control, and health care institutions for primary and middle schools participated in the meeting.
