On January 17, 2025, the Municipal Health Commission organized the first system work promotion meeting on immediate handling of complaints for 2025. Comrade Zhong Dongbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Health Commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Leaders from the one committee and three bureaus of the Municipal Health Commission, department heads, main leaders and responsible officials from district health commissions, heads of tertiary medical and health institutions, and heads of directly affiliated units attended the meeting. Comrade Chen Hang, Deputy Director of the Municipal Health Commission, presided over the meeting and required the entire system to strictly implement the spirit of the meeting, maintaining high standards and strict requirements to continuously enhance the system’s work on immediate handling of complaints.

During the meeting, Beijing Satellite TV’s program "Immediate Complaints Handling: Unblocking the Medical Road for Women and Children" was broadcast. The results of the 2024 assessment on handling complaints and the special supervision of medical institutions in the fourth quarter of last year were reported. Outstanding contribution units and individuals in Beijing’s health system for immediate handling of complaints in 2024 were also announced.

It was highlighted at the meeting that in 2024, Beijing’s health system achieved a comprehensive score of 100 for the first time, tying for first place in the city. Meanwhile, public demands drove the modernization of health governance, achieving further optimization of medical resources, further improvement of the service system, further refinement of service processes, and further enhancement of regulatory quality and efficiency. These achievements were attributed to adhering to party leadership in handling complaints, maintaining the original intention of serving the people, focusing on weak links, and effectively addressing key tasks.

It was required at the meeting that the entire system to enhance its sense of responsibility and urgency, always maintaining the stability of achievements and sustainable development of the city’s health system in immediate handling of complaints. Continued efforts should be made to strengthen ideological guidance and keep complaint channels open. The system must never relax in meeting the real needs of the public, becoming more precise in demand analysis, more systematic in problem-solving, and more proactive in handling issues before complaints arise. Continuous improvement in health service management must be upheld, achieving new progress in organizational innovation, institutional innovation, and cultural cultivation.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the entire system should aim for a safe holiday and a "good start" in all work, thoroughly organizing investigations of contradictions and disputes, and comprehensively strengthening work on production safety, fire safety, and traffic safety. Special rectifications should focus on historical issues, construction safety, hospital safety and order management, and electric vehicle management. Safety inspections on social personnel entering and exiting hospitals must be intensified to ensure no major or minor incidents occur and the entire system enjoys a joyful and peaceful Spring Festival.
