On the afternoon of December 3, the finals of the 2024 Legal Knowledge Competition of the Beijing Health System, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and co-organized by the Beijing Health Law Society, were concluded at the Tongzhou Campus of Beijing Anzhen Hospital. Xu Changshun, the second-level inspector of the Municipal Health Commission, along with leaders from the Regulations Department of the National Health Commission and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice, attended the event and presented awards to the winning teams.
The competition, which ran throughout the year, was divided into four stages: preparation and launch, full-staff answering, semi-finals, and finals. Its goal was to promote the study and dissemination of Xi Jinping's rule of law thinking, as well as fundamental laws and regulations such as the Constitution, the Work Safety Law, and health and safety regulations, specifically for the staff within the health system.
The full-staff answering phase attracted over 100,000 participants online across 16 districts in the city. It became not only a highly anticipated legal knowledge competition within the health sector but also a platform for the in-depth study and publicity of constitutional and legal knowledge for health system workers.
The semi-finals were held on November 4 and 5. After intense competition among 32 teams from the city’s 16 districts, eight teams from Chaoyang, Haidian, Shijingshan, Fangshan, Huairou, and Yanqing advanced to the finals.
During the finals, contestants were energetic, responding to questions with composure and confidence. After fierce competition in several rounds, the "Spreading Wings and Soaring Team" from Huairou District emerged as the champions. Expert judges also provided on-the-spot answers to questions about relevant laws and regulations, helping the participants gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of legal knowledge.
In addition, the event featured an interactive question-answering session for the audience, coordinated with the "Constitutional Publicity Week" campaign. This segment not only helped popularize constitutional knowledge but also emphasized the significance of Constitution Day and the promotional slogan for "Constitutional Publicity Week," inspiring a wave of learning and advocacy for the Constitution.
The semi-finals and finals were broadcast live through new media platforms such as the "Healthy Beijing" WeChat public account, amassing more than 70,000 views. Through this competition, the positive spirit of the city's health workers was fully showcased, while mobilizing the health system staff to respect, learn, abide by, and utilize the law. The event contributed to creating a positive atmosphere for health and health system employees to "respect the law, study the law, abide by the law, and use the law."
