On November 26, 2024, Liu Juncai, Director of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, met with the "Macao Young Entrepreneurs Delegation for Beijing-Tianjin Health Industry" organized by the Macao Federation of Industry and Commerce. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on health industry development and potential areas for collaboration. Zheng Jinpu, Second-level Inspector of the Municipal Health Commission, also attended the symposium.

During the meeting, Liu Juncai extended a warm welcome to the Macao delegation and highlighted Beijing’s focus on the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, noting its scale, vitality, and vast potential for growth. She emphasized Beijing’s strengths in medical talent, education, and technological innovation and expressed hope for deeper cooperation in hospital management, talent development, and the advancement of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Ho King-lin, head of the delegation and President of the Macao Federation of Industry and Commerce, shared insights into the latest developments in Macao’s healthcare sector, particularly the progress in traditional Chinese medicine. He expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration with Beijing, establish platforms for partnership, and support the international expansion of Beijing’s health industry.

The two sides also exchanged views on a range of topics, including the integrated development of "tourism + medical care," advancements in cancer prevention and treatment, and strategies for promoting traditional Chinese medicine brands globally.

Representatives from the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other departments of Beijing Municipal Health Commission participated in the discussions.
