In order to study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the 15th Beijing Municipal Labor Union Congress, and to promote the high-quality development of labor union work, the Commission Labor Union organized a business training course for grassroots labor union cadres of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission from November 13 to 15, 2024.
At the opening ceremony, Comrade Ji Hong, Vice Chairman of the Commission Labor Union, acknowledged the achievements of the labor unions at the directly affiliated units. She expressed the hope that these labor unions would continue to study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. She emphasized the importance of understanding the new developments and challenges in the current situation, and the need to carefully grasp the key requirements set out by the plenary session for labor union work. Comrade Ji stressed the need to focus on critical tasks such as selecting model workers, strengthening organizational development, and promoting technological innovation. She also emphasized the importance of improving employee services, encouraging contributions from workers, and contributing to the high-quality development of the health sector.
The training covered multiple areas, including ideological guidance, mutual assistance, and financial auditing. Ding Jie, Deputy Director of the Institute of Labor Union Theory and Education at Beijing Labor Union Cadres College, leader of the Basic Theory and Work Practice Teaching Group, and Associate Professor, provided guidance on how to carry out labor union work in the current context. Gao Hua, Associate Professor at the same Institute and a PhD in Demography from Renmin University of China, gave an in-depth analysis of the spirit of the 15th Beijing Labor Union Congress, aimed at enhancing the ability of labor union cadres to perform their duties. Chen Shuo, a member of the lecturer team from the Beijing Office of the China Employees Insurance Mutual Aid Association, provided a detailed explanation of the mutual assistance policies for employees and practical teaching for labor union cadres. Meng Xuelian, a member of the Economic and Audit Committee of the Commission's Labor Union and Director of the Audit Department at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, gave a thorough and in-depth presentation on the practical aspects of labor union fund auditing. Yan Benliang, a Senior Career Guidance Instructor at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Senior Lecturer at Beijing Taihua Management Training Institute, led a session on efficient communication skills for labor union cadres.
During the training, the Commission's Labor Union organized group discussions on labor union experience and a question-answering session on mutual assistance. In the group discussions, participants actively shared their experiences in quality activities such as employee care and job training, while also offering suggestions for the labor union’s work in 2025, based on their practical experiences. During the mutual assistance question-and-answer session, participants engaged thoughtfully and answered the questions, demonstrating their solid knowledge base.
Over 170 chairmen, vice chairmen, and labor union cadres from directly affiliated units participated in this training.
