On June 20, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission organized the Preliminary of Beijing Volunteer Service Project Competition 2024 (of Health System) and Volunteer Service Project Competition of Beijing Health System at the Party School of the Commission. The competition aims to further strengthen the communication and exchange of volunteer services in the capital's health industry, enhance the brand influence of volunteer services, and promote the healthy and vigorous development of volunteer services in the capital's health industry by cultivating, exploring and supporting a number of exemplary and innovative volunteer service projects.

Since the launch of the Beijing Volunteer Service Project Competition 2024, with the high attention and active participation of the health commissions of various districts, tertiary hospitals, and directly affiliated units, a total of 25 volunteer service projects have passed the preliminary screening and entered the competition. At the competition, the project leaders fully demonstrated the professionalism and enthusiasm of the volunteers in the health system through wonderful speeches and vivid cases and demonstrated the responsibility and commitment to protect the health of the people.

The on-site judges voted based on the public welfare, innovation, practicality, social impact and operation management of the project. Based on the voting results, 4 gold awards, 6 silver awards and 7 bronze awards were finally selected. The gold and silver award projects will be recommended to participate in the Semi-finals of Beijing Volunteer Service Project Competition 2024 and the Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition of the National Health Industry held by the National Health Commission.

In the next step, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission will continue to cultivate and discover a number of high-quality and profound volunteer service organizations and projects to contribute to the high-quality development of the health industry.
