On June 7, 2024, the Youth League Committee of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission held the second "Youth Guarding Health" learning and practice activities, organizing the cadres and youth members of the grassroots youth league organizations of the Municipal Health Commission system to visit the Xinglin Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Base to experience and immerse themselves in the culture of traditional Chinese medicine. The activities were hosted by the Youth League Committee of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University.

Xinglin Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Base is an important place that integrates the inheritance and development of TCM, experiences the core and essence of TCM culture, and spreads TCM culture. In this event, the youth league members of the health system not only visited the Baicao Garden, the specimen exhibition hall, and the traditional Chinese medicine culture corridor, but also experienced rolling wormwood sticks, frying tea, and making honey pills and sachets. After the event, the members all said that this was the first time they had a "zero-distance" multi-faceted contact with Chinese medicine culture. Chinese medicine culture is a treasure of China's excellent traditional culture, which embodies the health and wellness concepts, practical experience, and philosophical wisdom of the Chinese nation for thousands of years. As the youth engaged in health and wellness industry, they will always adhere to the position of Chinese culture, strengthen cultural self-confidence and self-reliance, and continuously enhance the appeal, competitiveness and influence of Chinese medicine culture.

The Youth League Committee of the Municipal Health Commission will continue to carry out a series of "Youth Guarding Health" learning and practice activities to further expand the horizons of young medical workers in the capital, to improve their knowledge and literacy. They will strive to grow into the new talents of the era who can shoulder the responsibility of national rejuvenation.
