Beijing issued yellow high temperature warning

Beijing Meteorological Service issued a yellow high temperature warning at 16:10 on June 8: It was expected that the highest temperature in the plain area will reach 35℃ to 36℃ from 12:00 to 16:00 every day from June 9 to 12.

01

Reduce outdoor high temperature exposure

Keep indoors cool.When the indoor temperature is high, you can use cooling equipment to reduce the ambient temperature;

Reduce going out. Try to avoid outdoor physical activities and outdoor sports, or going out during high temperature periods.

Pay attention to sun protection. Wear light, loose, light-colored clothes when going out, and use sunscreen products.

Stay in the shade.Try to avoid high temperature environments and direct sunlight, and it is advisable to stay in the shade.

Reduce physical exertion. If you need to go out in hot weather, you should reduce strenuous activities and pay attention to timely rest.

02

Pay attention to your health

Prepare heatstroke prevention and cooling medicines. Prepare heatstroke prevention and cooling medicines properly and take them when you feel unwell (refer to the instructions for the medicines). If you have chronic underlying diseases or take multiple medicines for a long time, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Pay attention to adjusting your diet.Drink water in time and avoid drinking drinks containing alcohol, caffeine or a lot of sugar. Eat small meals frequently and eat light and easy-to-digest meals.

Pay attention to symptoms of discomfort. If you experience symptoms of heatstroke such as dizziness, headache, fatigue, thirst, and sweating, you should move to a cool place to rest and replenish water as soon as possible. If the discomfort symptoms persist, you should seek medical treatment in time.

Seek medical treatment immediately if the symptoms are severe. If you experience symptoms such as burning skin, confusion, slurred speech, and delirium, you should seek medical attention or call an ambulance in time, and rest in a cool place, with cooling supplies on your neck, armpits, and groin to cool down.

03

Maintain a healthy lifestyle

Sufficient sleep can relax the brain and various systems of the body. It is necessary to avoid lying under the air outlet of the air conditioner or the electric fan to avoid air-conditioning disease or heat cold.

However, it should be noted that the nap time should not be too long. Because the central nervous system will be more deeply inhibited, the blood flow in the brain will be relatively reduced, and the metabolic process will be slowed down, resulting in discomfort and more sleepiness after waking up.

Drink more water, but do not drink it in a large amount when you are thirsty. You should appropriately supplement some light salt (sugar) water. Because after a lot of sweating, the body loses too much salt. If the salt is not supplemented in time, it is easy to cause an imbalance in the electrolyte ratio in the body, leading to metabolic disorders.

You can appropriately drink some warm water, mung bean soup or electrolyte-containing beverages.

04

Avoid "rapid cooling" after leaving hot environment

Some people like to turn on the air conditioner, electric fan or take a cold shower immediately after leaving the high temperature environment. It will cause the pores of the whole body to close quickly, and the heat in the body will be difficult to dissipate. It will also cause insufficient blood supply to the brain due to the rapid contraction of brain blood vessels.

It is particularly important to note that the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not be too large. Even if the weather is hot, the indoor temperature controlled by the air conditioner should not be below 24℃.
