In order to thoroughly implement the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, promote the health emergency workers in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to master relevant laws, regulations, plans and specifications, and further enhance the health response capabilities of emergencies, from December 5 to 6, 2023, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, Tianjin Municipal Health Commission and Hebei Provincial Health Commission jointly organized and carried out the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Health Emergency Drill and Knowledge and Skills Competition 2023, which was a complete success.
On December 5, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei health emergency drill was conducted in the form of an unscripted desktop exercise. The exercise was carried out around actual work, which was innovative, close to actual combat, achieving "the three full and one success". The case scenarios fully covered four types of emergencies, namely natural disasters, accidental disasters, public health events, and social security events. The team members participating in the exercise fully covered the three regions of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the two levels of the city and district, 16 districts of Beijing and Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The exercise fully covered five majors, health emergency management, disease prevention and control, pre-hospital emergency, medical treatment, and health supervision. The exercise process fully covered all aspects and processes of health response to emergencies, achieved the expected goals, and successfully completed all tasks of the desktop exercise. During the exercise, the staff participated extensively, fully exchanged and discussed, learned from each other, and combined theory with practice, which was highly praised by the expert group.
On December 6, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Health Emergency Knowledge and Skills Competition was held in a warm and exciting atmosphere. The contestants from 16 districts of Beijing and Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone devoted themselves to the intense competition, fully demonstrating their solid health emergency business skills and good comprehensive qualities. Experts from five professional fields, namely health emergency management, disease prevention and control, pre-hospital emergency, medical treatment, and health supervision, jointly formed an expert group to ensure the fairness and professionalism of the competition. An interactive session for observers were set up to inspire more people to think and participate. The head of the expert group made a summary and comments. Li Ang, Deputy Director of the Municipal Health Commission, observed the whole process and pointed out in his speech that this event further promoted the implementation of health emergency-related laws and regulations, emergency plans and related policy documents, further strengthened the coordinated linkage mechanism of health emergency in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and further improved our ability to deal with various emergencies.
More than 200 people from the health emergency systems of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province participated in this event.
