On April 10, 2024, the Youth League Committee of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and the Youth League Committee of some units of Sinopec Group in Beijing jointly carried out joint learning and construction event, held the first "Youth Guarding Health" learning and practice activity in 2024. 40 Youth League cadres and members of the Municipal Health Commission system visited the Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company for learning and exchange. This event is hosted by the Youth League Committee of Capital Institute of Pediatrics.

Yanshan Petrochemical is a key refining and chemical integrated enterprise affiliated to Sinopec Group. In the 1960s, in accordance with Chairman Mao's strategic policy of "preparing for war, preparing for famine, and serving the people" and the principle of "backing, dispersing, and concealing", the first generation of Yanhua staff came from all over China to the foot of Longgu Mountain in southwest Beijing and built a modern refinery plant, ending the history of incapability of producing petroleum products in Beijing. The participants visited the Red Education Base Exhibition Hall and Meltblown Cloth Party Education Base, and Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Niukouyu Wetland Park and other areas. At the small symposium afterwards, they expressed their thoughts on the content of the visit, saying that they had a deeper understanding of the profound meaning of "the great country" proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping through this on-site observation. They will take the spirit of China’s petro industry as an example, delve deeply into the medical and health undertakings, work hard, and contribute youthful strength to the health undertakings of the people of the capital.

The Youth League Committee of the Municipal Health Commission will continue to consolidate, expand, study and implement the educational achievements of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and orderly carry out a series of "Youth Guarding Health" learning and practice activities to further enhance ideological and cultural communication with all walks of life, to stimulate the patriotism and responsibility of young medical workers in the capital, and cultivate medical youth in the new era who can "solving problems for the party, fulfill their responsibilities for the country, and contribute to the people."
