On November 10, 2023, the Municipal Health Commission organized a laboratory biosafety training summary meeting. Comrades in charge of relevant work from the Science and Education Department of the Municipal Health Commission and the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Promotion Center, experts from the training bases, Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center of National Health Commission, and central and local biosafety institutions, and outstanding student representatives attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine reported on the curriculum arrangements, student management, training process management, and fund use this year for key personnel training in biosafety level two laboratories. Biosafety experts attending the meeting affirmed the training work of Beijing and made suggestions on follow-up training, assessment forms, talent use, and platform building.

The Department of Science and Education summarized and emphasized that it is necessary to plan and layout the training of key talents in laboratories across the city, and do a good job in tracking and evaluating trainees. The construction of training bases, system construction and work processes of standardized training management should be carried out in a homogeneous manner. It is necessary to innovate training methods, and customize training according to needs, build a communication platform, and promote the construction of talent incentive and utilization mechanisms.
