On October 11, a team from the National Health Commission led by He Jinguo, Director of the Finance Department, Zhao Shuli, Deputy Director of the Finance Department, Zhang Bo, Director of the Administrative Office, and Jiang Changxing, Director of the Economic Management Division, visited Beijing to conduct research on the economic management of public hospitals.
In the morning, the team went to Jishuitan Hospital, Shijitan Hospital, and Cancer Hospital for on-site investigation respectively. The leaders of the three hospitals respectively made reports on the construction of public hospital operation system, the use of medical insurance funds and rectification of problems, financial supervision work, rectification of audit problems, and the use and role of the chief accountant. They put forward ideas and suggestions for economic management training for key leaders of public hospitals. In the afternoon, comrades from the Finance Department held discussions with leaders of eight hospitals including Friendship Hospital, Tiantan Hospital, Chaoyang Hospital, Tongren Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital, Anzhen Hospital, Children's Hospital and Tsinghua Chang Gung Memorial Hospital on the economic management of public hospitals. At the meeting, Wang Jianhui, deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, and Xie Xianghui, deputy director of the Beijing Hospitals Authority, respectively introduced the economic management work of Beijing and municipal public hospitals. Director He Jinguo highly affirmed the economic management work of the public hospitals in Beijing and put forward "five insisting" for the next step. First, it is necessary to insist on the integration of industry and finance and promote the operation and management of public hospitals. The third is to adhere to the joint efforts and the implementation of financial supervision requirements.
