Recently, the second Competition of Hospital-Police Joint Response for Emergency, jointly organized by the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Municipal Health Commission, was held at the gymnasium of the Capital Normal University. The winners of the first, second and third places were selected at the final.
In order to further maintain the safety and order of the hospitals in Beijing and punish medical-related illegal and criminal acts, the Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Municipal Health Commission decided to organize hospital police, medical staff, security cadres, security team members and security-inspection personnel to carry out training and rehearsal for the competition of the joint handling of medical-related cases. 16 district-level departments selected 32 hospital-police joint disposal teams. After preliminaries and semi-finals, 8 teams were selected to the finals. Four common medical-related incident handling scenarios was set to test the rapid response, coordination and emergency response capabilities of the teams, to deter medical-related crimes.
Through the finals, the disposal teams of Chaoyang Hospital and Chaoyang Public Security Bureau Branch, Tongzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Tongzhou Public Security Bureau Branch, Friendship Hospital and Xicheng Public Security Bureau Branch, Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dongcheng Public Security Bureau Branch, Peking University Stomatological Hospital and Haidian Public Security Bureau Branch, and Tiantan Hospital and Fengtai Public Security Bureau Branch won the top six. Miyun District Health Commission and Huairou District Health Commission won the Best Organization Award. Changping District Health Commission and Daxing District Health Commission won the Best Participation Award.
Leaders from the National Health Commission, Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Municipal Health Commission, relevant leaders of Internal Security Bureau and all branches of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, leaders of district health commissions and some hospitals, as well as hospital police representatives visited and participated in the event.
