The Beijing Municipal Health Commission held a publicity and implementation meeting on national food safety standards from July 28 to 29, 2022. Participants in standard formulation and revision were invited to interpret 12 national food safety standards in detail.
This online publicity conference is based on serving the needs of government food safety supervision and the healthy development of the industry, covering general standards, normative standards and product standards. Experts from the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment responsible for the management of various national food safety standards have made a detailed interpretation of the revision background and changes in the limits of food flavors and fragrances, food contact materials, detergents, pathogens and contaminants. Experts from Beijing Institute of Food Inspection and National Standards Technical Review Center of State Administration for Market Regulation, as participants in the revision of standards, respectively explained GB 31652-2021 "National Food Safety Standard for Hygienic Specification for Processing of Ready-to-eat Fresh-cut Fruits and Vegetables" and GB 31605-2021 "National Food Safety Standard for Hygienic Specification of Food Cold Chain Logistics". Experts from Kexin Center, Peking University and China Dairy Industry Association introduced standards for processed cheese and cheese products, sports nutrition foods, and concentrated dairy foods. In the communication session, the experts answered the hot issues of concern to the online participants and provided targeted guidance.
According to statistics, more than 40,000 people watched this online publicity event. Various personnel such as standards professionals from market regulation administration and health system, and personnel from food industry enterprises participated in the conference. This event has played a positive role in promoting the correct understanding and scientific implementation of standards by government regulatory authorities and industry enterprises, effectively strengthening the implementation of national food safety standards, and effectively improving the level of standard management.
