Starting from January 1, 2022, the call number for pre-hospital medical emergency service in Beijing will be officially unified as "120", and unified command and dispatch of pre-hospital medical emergency services will be implemented.
At present, the reception rate and service satisfaction rate of pre-hospital medical emergency calls remain above 97% and 98% respectively, and the average emergency response time is close to 15 minutes.
In 2021, the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress revised the "Beijing Regulations on Pre-hospital Medical Emergency Services", further clarifying that the special call number for pre-hospital medical emergency services in Beijing is "120", and added the expression "unified command and dispatch". It is stipulated that classified services and management should be applied to pre-hospital medical emergency and non-emergency medical transfer. Non-emergency medical transfer services for non-emergency and non-critical patients were clarified.
From this day, citizens could dial "999" to apply for non-emergency medical transfer services.
