From July 7 to 8, 2021, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission carried out the 2019-2020 on-site assessment of Beijing's medical professional quality control centers. A total of more than 120 people, including Gao Sifa, an investigator of the Medical Quality Department of the Bureau of Medical Administration of the National Health Commission, Li Ang, a member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, directors and full-time liaison officers of the quality control centers of various medical professionals in Beijing, and persons in charge of medical quality control of district health commissions and social affairs bureaus of economic and technological development zones, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, 36 quality control centers reported their work in 2019 and 2020, and put forward 2-3 problems on medical quality that need to be solved most urgently in the profession and the work measures to solve the problems in 2021. After comprehensive assessment, the centers of hospital infection management, pharmacy, medical examination, physical examination, atomic medicine, nursing, clinical anesthesia, infectious disease treatment, digestive endoscopy, ultrasound medicine ranked in the top ten, and were awarded the Beijing Excellent Medical Professional Quality Control Center of 2019-2020.

Deputy Director Li Ang made a concluding speech on further enhancing the medical quality control work and improving medical quality and safety in Beijing. On behalf of the Municipal Health Commission, he thanked the medical quality control centers for their efforts in advancing the medical quality control of the capital. He said that the health departments would continue to care and support the work of the centers and actively play their overall management responsibilities to better serve the frontline medical work. He also emphasized that in the next step of work, the quality control centers in Beijing should follow the example of excellent centers, innovating medical quality management methods continuously and promoting quality management to a higher level.
