This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The Central Committee of the Party has decided to issue memorial medals for 50-year Party membership to Party members who have reached the 50th anniversary of joining the Party and have consistently performed well. Recently, various units of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission have issued memorial medals in various ways to the 1333 senior party members who have been in the Party for 50 years, sending the care and warmth of the Party Central Committee to the senior comrades.

Since mid-June, the retired party branch, together with the retired cadres office and the service center of the commission have sent medals and gifts to more than 60 senior party members who have been in the Party for 50 years.

Beijing Friendship Hospital, Beijing Stomatological Hospital, and Beijing Municipal Physical Examination Center held a meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party. At the meeting, memorial medals to representatives of party members who have been in the Party for 50 years were issued, encouraging young party members to learn from senior party members, and inheriting the revolution from generation to generation.

The Capital Institute of Pediatrics, Beijing Geriatrics Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Beijing Anzhen Hospital, and Beijing Branch of the Chinese Medical Association respectively held memorial medal awarding ceremonies for the 50-year Party Membership.

Beijing Chaoyang Hospital held a symposium for new and senior party members of the "Inheritance of the Original Aspiration – Glorious 50-year Party Membership". At the symposium, the senior party members and the new party members, in combination of their own experiences, spoke freely about "a century from the founding of the Party, inheritance of red spirit and construction of a bright future". 

In view of the actual situation of the senior party members, Beijing Health Vocational College issued the medals adopting methods of collective awarding and door-to-door visits. The 43 senior party members of the college who had been in the Party for 50 years were awarded memorial medals and received respect and cordial greetings from the representatives.

The Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a cultural performance show for retired employees with a theme of “stay true to the original aspiration and follow the glorious 100-year journey of the Party”. The leaders of the hospital issued medals to senior party members who have been in the Party for 50 years.

The members of the leading group for retired cadres work and the staff of the retirement office of Beijing Ditan Hospital jointly launched awarding and visiting activities of the memorial medal for 50-year Party Membership. The representatives visited 46 persons, including the retired senior party members with 50-year Party Membership, retired cadres and party members with living difficulties, and extended their sincere greetings and sent them the warmth and care of the Party.
