The completion assessment of standardized training for residents in Beijing 2021 was successfully completed from May 7 to June 6, which lasted for 31 days. A total of 3,383 residents and master's degree students in medicine from 33 training bases in Beijing and 7 medical universities in and outside Beijing participated in the assessment. The assessment of clinical practice ability was conducted in 21 test centers including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking University First Hospital and Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University. Theoretical assessment is nationally unified, which was carried out in an orderly manner in 3 test centers including Peking University Health Science Center, ATA International Certification Center and Beijing Tiantan Hospital.

During the theoretical assessment, Director Li Mingxia of the Special Training Department of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association visited the test site at the ATA International Certification Center and inspected the temperature test and “Health kit” inspection of the candidates, layout and assessment of test rooms, and preparation of spare test rooms. She fully affirmed the standardized management of the assessment and rigorous measures for epidemic prevention and control. She expressed that this assessment will be a good reference for the upcoming standardized training and completion assessment of specialist doctors.

Strict output control is one of the important measures for ensuring the homogeneity of resident training. Beijing's completion assessment will continue to focus on improving the assessment plan of clinical practice ability and the management of the assessment, to continuously improve the science, standard and fairness of the completion assessment, and give full play to the guiding role of the completion assessment.
