On April 24, 2021, Practice Skills Completion Assessment for Standardized Training for Assistant General Practitioners in Beijing was conducted at Miyun District Hospital. 134 trainees from nine remote suburbs including Miyun and Pinggu participated in the assessment.
The assessment is divided into three stations. The first station is the receiving assessment of community patients. Common and frequently-occurring cases in the grassroots community were selected, and the candidates are required to complete medical history collection, physical examination, case analysis, and general medical record writing in steps. The second station is clinical skills operational assessment. 2 items from the 20 skill operation items required by the "Beijing Standardized Training Rules for Assistant General Practitioners" were selected and on-site assessment of operation skills were conducted. The third station is the interpretation of assistant inspection results. Common cases of electrocardiogram, X-ray film, and laboratory test report of the disease from the basic community case data were selected and the results will be interpreted on the spot and the basis will be written.
Through standardized assessment, the professional quality, medical theoretical knowledge and clinical skills of assistant general practitioners will be further improved, and a team of general practitioners who can meet the needs of grassroots medical and health services, with strong service capabilities, reasonable structure, and good quality will be established.
