On March 30, 2020, the construction of the new campus of Beijing Health  Vocational College started in Tongzhou District. This project is a key project  of the municipal government in 2020 and a major construction project of the  city's sub-center. It is also an important measure to implement the function of  non-capital capital, optimize the distribution of higher education resources,  and promote the development of health industry.

　　Beijing Health Vocational College is the only public full-time medical and  health vocational college in Beijing, with a history of nearly 100 years. The  college mainly undertakes the training tasks of advanced medical technicians  such as nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation, pharmacy, testing, TCM, etc. Over  the years, it has trained tens of thousands of medical and technical  professionals for Beijing. The Beijing Medical Assisting Team for Hubei consists  with many outstanding graduates of the college.

　　The new campus will be significantly optimized and upgraded in terms of  land use scale, infrastructure, and campus environment, and reserve space for  future development. In the layout of professional disciplines, it will be more  abundant and complete, and new majors including elderly care, TCM  rehabilitation, stomatology, etc. will be established. In the future, it will  reach a scale for more than 8,000 students. It will strive to develop into a  first-class higher vocational health school in China and further adapt to the  high-quality development and the need for medical and health personnel in  Beijing.
