In order to comprehensively implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's strategy for poverty alleviation and development and the implementation of the Party Central Committee's decision on poverty alleviation, and effectively improve staff’s awareness of healthy poverty alleviation and the principle of poverty alleviation, the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning held a training course on healthy poverty alleviation for the health planning and family planning system from October 22nd to 24th.

Wen Yazhen, an expert from the Poverty Alleviation and Development Office of the State Council, Zhao Yaqun, deputy inspector of the Beijing Poverty Alleviation Collaboration and Supportive Cooperation Office, and Zhang Junfeng, the director of the Fourth Department of Municipal Administration, were invited to the training to elaborate on the issues on “why, what and how to do”. The training focused on detailed explanation on poverty alleviation in the east and west, Beijing's practice of Xi Jinping's poverty alleviation strategy, as well as classification, results application, assessment time and procedures of collaborative assessment of Beijing's poverty alleviation. The leaders of 8 institutions including the Health and Family Planning Commission of Chaoyang District, Beijing Friendship Hospital, and Haidian District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, exchanged their experience combined with the actual practice of healthy poverty alleviation. Through training, the staff were inspired to complete the tasks of healthy poverty alleviation with greater determination, more precise measures and more excellent work style.

Gao Xiaojun, deputy inspector of the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, stressed that it is necessary to further enhance ideological understanding, enhance political standing, and enhance sense of responsibility and subject consciousness. It is necessary to further refine the work objectives and focus on the identified priorities for healthy poverty alleviation with elaboration and accuracy. It is necessary to refine the list and responsibility, improve the style of work, and vigorously implement poverty alleviation. It is required to further strengthen the work coordination, establish an effective and smooth work linkage mechanism, strengthen the coordination of the front and rear and the internal work, and work together to ensure the completion of healthy poverty alleviation tasks as scheduled.

The training courses were also attended by the leaders and relative staff of the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, the Municipal Administration of Hospitals, the Municipal Administration of TCM, and leaders and the heads relevant departments of the district health and family planning commissions and the municipal hospitals and the heads of the institutions directly affiliated to the municipal health and family planning commission and the relevant mass organizations.
