Beijing Municipal Health Commission Visited Grassroots Medical Staff at Frontline

On August 14, on the occasion of the second "Chinese Physician's Day", the Party Committee member and deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, An Xuejun, made a special trip to Pinggu District and Shunyi District to visit the staff working at the frontline of the grassroots medical and health institutions. Xu Suzhi, deputy head of the Pinggu District Government, and the responsible persons of the health commissions of Pinggu District and Shunyi District accompanied the visit.
Deputy director An Xuejun and his companions visited the Community Health Service Center of Mafang Town, Pinggu District, the Community Health Service Station of Nursing Home of Mafang Town, the Dongdian Village Health Station of Mafang Town, and the Health Room of Houxuegezhuang Village of Nancai Town of Shunyi District. They visited the general practitioners, community nurses and village doctors and other medical staff, fully affirmed their spirit of dedication, and sent them best wishes for the Physician's Day.
At the subsequent symposium, the district leaders said in their speeches that the Municipal Health Commission always cares about and pays attention to the development of primary health care, and coordinates the high-quality resources in the city to provide an inexhaustible driving force for the development of remote suburban counties. The remote suburbs will also cooperate with the deployment of the city to further improve their work in basic medicine and public health. Heads of the suburbs hoped to further receive guidance from the Municipal Health Commission, and make positive contributions to safeguarding the health of residents and building “Healthy Beijing”.

Deputy Director An Xuejun emphasized that grassroots medical and health institutions play the dual role of basic medical care and basic public health. Leaders at all levels must give more attention and care to grassroots medical personnel. At the same time, they should further utilize modern information technology to empower the grassroots medical and health care, strengthen information construction, accelerate the integration of information and data and the application of artificial intelligence, develop telemedicine and Internet convenience services, enhance service capabilities at the grassroot level, and provide the people convenient and economic basic medical and health services with better quality.
