2. Health Tips
As temperatures continue to rise and rainfall increases, intestinal infectious diseases and vector-borne diseases are entering their peak season. We would like to remind all residents to take the following precautions: 1. Ensure food safety.Handle raw and cooked foods separately during food preparation. Seafood, poultry, and meat should be thoroughly cooked before consumption. Drink boiled or bottled water, and avoid drinking untreated water. When dining out, choose licensed restaurants with good hygiene standards. For group meals, use serving chopsticks or adopt individual serving practices. 2. Maintain good environmental hygiene.Open windows daily for ventilation when weather conditions permit to ensure adequate air circulation. Promptly remove standing water and household waste, and keep garbage bins, sinks, and other areas clean and dry to reduce mosquito breeding. 3. Take protective measures when traveling or engaging in outdoor activities.Wear light-colored long-sleeved clothing and long pants outdoors, and apply insect repellent to exposed skin. Avoid staying for extended periods near vegetation or bodies of water to reduce the risk of mosquito and tick bites. Stay informed about weather conditions and minimize outdoor activities during periods of extreme heat or heavy rainfall. 4. Strengthen health monitoring.Pay close attention to your own health and that of your family members during travel and after returning home. If you develop symptoms such as fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, or diarrhea, seek medical attention promptly as appropriate, proactively inform healthcare providers of your recent travel history, and avoid going to work or attending gatherings while ill.
