2. Health Tips
April is the peak season for spring outings, with frequent population movement and more gatherings, and there is a risk of transmission of respiratory, intestinal, and vector-borne infectious diseases. The public is reminded to: first, practice personal protection—when visiting crowded or enclosed public places such as transport hubs, it is recommended to wear masks properly; people with allergy-prone constitutions should try to avoid going outdoors during periods of high pollen concentration and stay away from areas with dense vegetation. Second, pay attention to food hygiene—food should be thoroughly cooked before consumption, avoid eating raw, spoiled, or unsafe foods, and do not drink untreated water; when outdoors, do not pick or eat wild mushrooms, berries, or vegetables. Third, maintain indoor cleanliness—open windows daily according to weather conditions to keep the air fresh and circulating, allergy sufferers can use air purifiers to reduce indoor pollen levels; clean and disinfect indoor areas regularly and remove standing water to prevent mosquito breeding. Fourth, prevent ticks and mosquitoes—when going outdoors, avoid sitting or lying for long periods on grass or in forests, wear light-colored, smooth clothing with sleeves and pant legs tucked in, and apply repellents to exposed skin; after returning home, promptly check for ticks, closely monitor your health, and if symptoms such as fever or fatigue appear, seek medical attention immediately and inform doctors of any tick bites.
