2. Health Tips
As winter sets in and temperatures drop, respiratory infectious diseases have entered their peak season. We would like to remind the public of the following: First, strengthen personal protection. Wash your hands frequently, wear a mask properly when entering crowded places, and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing. Eligible residents are encouraged to receive the influenza vaccine to build a protective barrier and reduce the risk of infection. Second, maintain a clean environment. Open windows daily according to weather conditions to keep indoor air well ventilated. Avoid direct contact with the personal items of people with influenza, and ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of toys, furniture, frequently touched objects, and the patient’s belongings. Third, seek medical care promptly and appropriately. If symptoms such as fever, cough, or rash occur, avoid crowded places as much as possible and visit a medical institution in a timely manner based on your condition. Fourth, childcare institutions, schools, eldercare facilities, and other collective settings should strengthen education on infectious disease prevention, keep public areas clean, and implement health monitoring and reporting systems such as morning and midday checks. Students and staff should avoid attending school or work while ill. Fifth, develop healthy habits. Maintain good food hygiene, eat a balanced diet, and ensure adequate nutritional intake. Keep regular sleep patterns and engage in appropriate physical activity to strengthen the body and improve immunity.
