2. Health Tips

As summer transitions into autumn, the large temperature difference between day and night, along with increased population movement and gatherings, has led to a high incidence of respiratory and intestinal infectious diseases. We would like to remind the public of the following: 1. Pay attention to food safety. Consume thoroughly cooked food and drink clean, safe water. Keep raw and cooked food separate during preparation. Wash and peel fruits before eating, and avoid raw, cold, or unclean food. Do not drink untreated water. When dining out, choose licensed and reputable restaurants. 2. Maintain environmental hygiene. At home, in schools, and in childcare institutions, open windows for ventilation according to weather conditions, ideally 2–3 times a day for at least 30 minutes each time. If there are patients with respiratory infectious diseases, carry out preventive disinfection of potentially contaminated environmental surfaces. 3. Strengthen personal protection. Wash hands frequently and avoid touching the eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Do not share personal items such as towels, basins, or handkerchiefs. When engaging in outdoor activities, adjust clothing appropriately to the temperature to avoid catching cold. 4. Childcare institutions, schools, and other collective units should strengthen routine health monitoring and strictly implement morning and midday health checks, as well as systems for registering and reporting absences due to illness. Individuals with symptoms such as fever or cough should rest at home and seek medical attention promptly as needed. 5. Get vaccinated in a timely manner. Eligible residents are encouraged to actively receive vaccinations against influenza, pneumonia, and other diseases.
