2. Health Tips

As we enter both the summer holiday period and the main flood season, high temperatures and humidity increase the risk of foodborne illnesses, intestinal infectious diseases, and vector-borne diseases. We remind all citizens to stay vigilant and take the following precautions: 1. Pay attention to food hygiene. Drink only boiled water or certified bottled water. Avoid raw food, food of unknown origin, and any food soaked in rainwater. Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly before consumption, and do not pick or eat wild mushrooms at will. 2. Maintain a comfortable environment. Keep living spaces clean with regular cleaning and proper ventilation to ensure air circulation. When using air conditioning, avoid setting the temperature too low to prevent large temperature differences between indoors and outdoors. 3. Protect yourself outdoors. Wear light-colored long-sleeved shirts and long pants when going out. Stay away from mosquito breeding grounds. Use insect repellents on skin appropriately to reduce the risk of bites from mosquitoes, ticks, and other pests. 4. Plan travel wisely. Pay close attention to health advisories issued by relevant authorities at your travel destination. Stay informed about local outbreaks of infectious diseases. Avoid going out during periods of extreme heat and take effective measures to stay cool. 5. Monitor your health. If you experience symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, or diarrhea, seek medical attention promptly based on the severity of the symptoms. If someone around you has vomiting or diarrhea, disinfect the household environment and potentially contaminated items properly, take personal protective measures, and minimize the risk of cross-infection.
