1. Case Report

In September 2024 (from 0:00 on September 1 to 24:00 on September 30), a total of 21,277 cases of 22 notifiable infectious diseases and 10 deaths were reported in Beijing. The reported diseases are mainly Viral Hepatitis, Dysentery, Tuberculosis,Pertussis, Syphilis, COVID-19, Influenza, Other Infectious Diarrhea, and Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, etc. Monitoring data show that the COVID-19 and influenza virus infections in Beijing are currently at non-epidemic levels.

2. Health tips

It is autumn and the weather is getting cooler. Here are some health tips for the citizens. First, it is necessary to pay attention to personal protection, by add or removing clothes in time according to the weather conditions to avoid catching a cold, wearing masks scientifically, and paying attention to hand hygiene. Citizens who meet the vaccination requirements for influenza or other vaccines should get vaccinated actively and proactively. Second, it is necessary to pay attention to food safety. Raw and cooked ingredients should be processed separately. Do not eat undercooked meat or aquatic products. Do not eat wild mushrooms or wild fruits. Do not drink raw water. Third, it is necessary to maintain environmental hygiene. Citizens should open windows for ventilation appropriately, and regularly clean and disinfect the home environment, especially furniture with high contact frequency such as tables, chairs, door handles, and children's common items. Fourth, collective units such as childcare institutions and schools should strengthen the safety management of food and drinking water, do a good job in morning and afternoon inspections of classes and registration of absences due to illness, and timely and standardized treatment and reporting should be done for children and students with symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea. Fifth, it is recommended to do a good job of personal health monitoring. When symptoms such as fever, cough, vomiting, and rash occur, it is necessary to avoid going to crowded places, seek medical treatment in time according to the condition, and inform the doctor of travel history and contact history, and do not go to work or school with illness.
