I. Epidemic overview

During the 27thweek of 2023, there were a total of 4,816 cases of 16 kinds of legal infectious diseases reported, and 4 cases died in Beijing. The top five diseases with a large number of cases are COVID-19, Hand, Food and Mouth Diseases, Other Infectious Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, and Viral Hepatitis, accounting for 91.9% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week has decreased compared with last week, and respiratory infectious diseases are the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 70.6% of the reported number.

Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease is a common infectious disease in children caused by a variety of enterovirus infections. It is more common in infants aged 5 years and younger. The main clinical manifestations are fever, oral mucosal herpes or ulcers, and skin eruptions on the hands, feet, buttocks, etc., which are usually mild and self-limited. Parents and babysitters should closely observe the child's condition and seek medical attention in time. It is necessary to cultivate the hygiene habit of properly washing hands after using public facilities, before meals and after using the toilet. It is necessary to do a good job of cleaning and disinfecting daily household necessities.
