I. Epidemic overview

During the 10th week of 2023, there were a total of 69,705 cases of 15 kinds of legal infectious diseases reported, and 4 cases died in Beijing. The top five diseases with a large number of cases are Influenza, COVID-19, Other Infectious Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, and Viral Hepatitis, accounting for 99.7% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week has increased compared with last week, and respiratory infectious diseases are the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 99.2% of the reported number.

At present, Influenza in Beijing is spreading at its peak. Citizens should continue to maintain good hygiene habits, such as covering their mouth and nose with tissues when coughing or sneezing and insisting on washing hands frequently and wearing masks. It is necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a balanced work-and-life schedule and strengthen physical exercise. It is recommended to add or remove clothing according to climate change to keep warm. When having flu-like symptoms (such as body temperature ≥ 38°C, cough or sore throat), patients should wear a mask when seeking medical treatment as appropriate and avoid going to school or work in the event of illness.
