II. Health tips for key epidemic situation
The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week was basically the same as last week, which is generally at a low level. At present, the risk of imported epidemic in Beijing still exists, and we must be always alert of epidemic prevention and control. Citizens are recommended to celebrate the festival in Beijing, and insist to avoid traveling to medium and high-risk areas and counties (cities, districts, and banners) where local epidemics have occurred within 7 days. During the National Day holiday, it is necessary to keep the “four reminders” in mind, namely taking nucleic acid test during the holiday, wearing a mask when going out, scanning the code for check before entering public places, and taking personal protection measures when spending time in the suburbs.
During the National Day holiday, the temperature drops significantly. Citizens should pay attention to weather changes to avoid the influenza and other high-incidence infectious diseases in autumn and winter. Vaccination is an effective measure to prevent influenza. Beijing will continue to implement free influenza vaccination for the elderly over 60 years old and primary and secondary school students this year. Citizens could go to the nearby vaccination point. Self-paying influenza vaccination requires an appointment in advance.
