I. Epidemic overview

During the 26th week of 2022, there were a total of 874 cases of 15 kinds of legal infectious diseases reported, and 3 cases died in Beijing. The top five diseases with a large number of cases are Other Infectious Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, Syphilis, Viral Hepatitis, and Influenza, accounting for 83.2% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week has increased compared with last week, and it is generally at a low level. Intestinal infectious diseases were the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 39.2% of the total number of reports.

Summer is the season of high incidence of intestinal infectious diseases. Citizens should avoid drinking raw water, and eating raw, cold or spoiled food, especially raw seafood or aquatic products. Cooked food purchased in the market and food left from previous meals should be heated and cooked thoroughly. It is necessary to wash hands before and after meals, wash or sterilize tableware and chopsticks, separate cooking utensils for rap and cooked foods, and carry out flies extinction measures. Citizens should avoid dumping garbage or polluting water sources. If symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea occur, it is necessary to seek medical treatment in time.

Citizens should continue to adhere to the epidemic prevention and control measures and strictly abide by various epidemic prevention regulations, such as carrying out nucleic acid testing as required, entering public places by cooperating with scanning code, temperature measurement, and checking negative result of nucleic acid testing. In the event of fever, dry cough, fatigue and other symptoms related to COVID-19, patients should not buy or take medicine by themselves, take public transportation, or go to crowded places.
