I. Epidemic overview

During the 25th week of 2022, there were a total of 816 cases of 16 kinds of legal infectious diseases reported, and 1 case died in Beijing. The top five diseases with a large number of cases are Other Infectious Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, Viral Hepatitis, Syphilis, and Dysentery, accounting for 81.9% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week decreased by 11.3% compared with last week, which is generally at a low level. Intestinal infectious diseases were the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 43.3% of the total reported number.

Summer has arrived. The high temperature and humidity are conducive to the reproduction of bacteria and food is easily contaminated. Therefore, summer is the season of high incidence of intestinal infectious diseases. Citizens should pay attention to the hygiene of drinking water, keep raw and cooked food separate to avoid cross-contamination, eat as little as possible foods that are prone to pathogenic bacteria such as snails, shells, crabs and other aquatic products. Especially, it is not necessary to avoid eating seafood at mobile roadside stalls or raw or half-cooked seafood. Citizens should pay attention to hand hygiene, wash hands frequently before meals and after using toilet.

At present, the epidemic situation in Beijing has entered the final stage. We could not rule out sporadic hidden sources of infection in society. Citizens should continue to adhere to epidemic prevention and control and strictly abide by various epidemic prevention regulations, including conducting nucleic acid testing as required, and cooperate with scanning place code, temperature measurement and inspection of nucleic acid negative results when entering public places. Scanning place code cannot be replaced by showing health code. Once symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever, dry cough, or fatigue occur, patients should not make prescription by themselves, take public transportation, or go to crowded places. It is necessary to go to hospital according to related regulations.
