The top five diseases with a large number of cases are Other Infectious Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, Syphilis, COVID-19, and Viral Hepatitis, accounting for 83.7% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

This week, the number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing has increased compared with last week, and it is generally at a low level. Intestinal infectious diseases and respiratory infectious diseases were the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 36.2% and 15.0% of the reported number, respectively.

At present, Beijing has entered the season of high incidence of intestinal infectious diseases in summer. Citizens should pay attention to the hygiene of food and drinking water, avoid eating at places with poor hygiene condition, keep personal and hand hygiene, wash hands before meals and after using toilet, drink boiled water or qualified bottled water, cook food thoroughly.

On June 19, 1 new social case appeared in Beijing, indicating that there were still sporadic hidden sources of infection in some areas in the city. Citizens should conduct nucleic acid testing within the prescribed time limit. Those who have intersections with the officially announced case’s activity trajectory, especially those who have been to areas with risk and have been in contact with risk personnel, should report to the community immediately, and cooperate with the implementation of health monitoring and other prevention and control measures. Once 11 types of COVID-19-related symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, loss of smell and taste, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhea appear, it is necessary to immediately report to the community and unit and cooperate with corresponding control measures.
