I. Epidemic overview

During the 21st week of 2022, there were a total of 870 cases of 17 kinds of legal infectious diseases reported, and 3 cases died in Beijing. The top five diseases with a large number of cases are Other Infectious Diarrhea, COVID-19, Tuberculosis, Syphilis, and Viral Hepatitis, accounting for 81.8% of the total number of cases of legal infectious diseases.

II. Health tips for key epidemic situation

The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Beijing this week decreased by 13.4% compared with last week, which is generally at a low level. Intestinal infectious diseases and respiratory infectious diseases were the main reported diseases, the cases of which accounted for 27.1% and 24.3% of the reported number, respectively.

At present, the number of newly reported local cases in Beijing shows a downward trend, but the situation of epidemic prevention and control is still severe, and the risk of rebound still exists. Citizens and friends should continue to strengthen their awareness of protection, adhere to normal prevention and control measures such as wearing masks scientifically, washing hands frequently, ventilating regularly, avoiding gatherings, maintaining a safe social distance, showing health QR code and registration, and presenting a negative nucleic acid test results before entering public places.

At present, many areas are returning to normal production and living in an orderly manner.  Cancelling community controlling measures does not mean relaxing epidemic prevention. Residents whose community is not controlled any more recently are required to do health monitoring and take nucleic acid testing, and pay close attention to the physical health of themselves and their families. In the event of 11 types of symptoms such as fever or dry cough, it is necessary to immediately report to the community and cooperate with corresponding control measures. Patients should not buy medicine or make prescription by themselves.
