IV. Key Notes
In view of the current peak season for spring-incidental infectious diseases such as epidemic influenza, measles, epidemic parotitis, hand-foot-mouth disease and so on, medical and disease control departments should be fully aware of the importance and imperativeness of the control and prevention of spring-incidental infectious diseases. As for the hand-foot-mouth disease that has attracted much public attention, the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau has required various relevant departments to strictly follow the Notification of the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau on Intensifying Prevention and Treatment of Hand-foot-mouth Disease and Other Diseases, especially to effectively prevent and control the disease among key groups of people like those in kindergartens, schools and other places of great significance. The bureau has also required that the publicity on health care and disease prevention should be carried out in diversified forms so as to improve the massive citizens’ awareness about disease prevention and to keep hand-foot-mouth disease from breaking out and spreading.
