This week, bacillary dysentery took place in a school of Shunyi District, with 14 reported cases. And therefore, the City Health Bureau requested the health departments to intensify supervision of food hygiene and environmental hygiene, and prevent local outbreaks of intestinal canal infectious diseases and food poisoning incidents.

In addition, as the people flocking into Beijing for tourism will increase, city health bureau also requested that disease control organizations and medical institutions at all levels should intensify the supervision of contagious respiratory diseases like measles, epidemic encephalitis, influenza, mumps and chicken pox, for preventing its prevalence.
