III. Key Notes
On May 8, 2009, the Ministry of Health researched and formulated an "A/H1N1 Flu Treatment Program (The First Edition of Pilot Version in 2009)" in accordance with the latest treatment experience and relevant information on A/H1N1 flu of World Health Organization and other countries. Beijing Municipal Health Bureau urged all levels of medical institutions to do a good job in the diagnosis and treatment of A/H1N1 flu in accordance with the program and timely report suspected cases and confirmed cases.
As summer approaches and temperature rises, the overall incidence of infectious diseases this week had a slight increase from last week, which mainly results from the large increase of intestinal infectious diseases. Thus, the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau urged the city to do a good job in the prevention and control of summer intestinal infectious diseases. Moreover, our city now has entered a high incidence period of hand-foot-mouth disease, and the number of reported cases showed a gradual upward trend. The health and epidemic prevention departments at district and county levels should strengthen collaboration with other relevant government departments to do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases with scattered-living children in addition to the childcare institutions and schools; at the same time, government departments should strengthen the implementation supervision of prevention and control measures for hand-foot-mouth disease to do a more down-to-earth work.
