Recently, the Langfa Emergency Station of the Beijing 120 Daxing Branch received an order from the Beijing 120 Dispatch and Command Center: a traffic accident had occurred at an intersection, and a patient injured in the crash was unable to move and in urgent need of medical assistance.
The ambulance crew set off immediately upon receiving the call. En route, Dr. Wang contacted people at the scene to inquire about the patient’s condition and provided reassurance to the agitated injured person. Meanwhile, the nurse prepared the trauma first aid kit and other medical equipment and supplies, ready for use at any moment. Driver Mr. Xu, with his skilled driving techniques and extensive experience, quickly transported the team to the scene.
Upon arrival, Dr. Wang immediately performed a rapid physical examination and preliminary assessment: the patient was conscious, vital signs were stable, but there was a high possibility of a fracture in the left lower limb. He promptly led the emergency team in carrying out on-site first aid, applying hemostatic bandaging and splint fixation to the injured area. After a reassessment confirmed the patient’s condition was stable, the team worked together to carefully and quickly transfer the patient into the ambulance.
During transport, the emergency staff continuously monitored the patient’s vital signs, keeping a close watch on the readings from the monitor and providing timely interventions when needed. Under their attentive care, the patient’s injuries were effectively managed, and their emotional state also became much calmer.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the ambulance crew swiftly handed over the patient to the emergency department staff and escorted the patient into the consultation room for further treatment. After thetask was completed, the team promptly returned to the station to prepare for the next mission.
