Recently, the team led by Dr. Ding Yuanyuan from the West Emergency Station of the Beijing Emergency Medical Center received an urgent dispatch: a patient had been hit by a car and was in critical need of assistance. The team responded swiftly and rushed to the scene. On the way, Dr. Ding called the scene to inquire about the patient’s condition and provided instructions for immediate first aid. At the same time, nurse Wang Chaoyang prepared all necessary supplies for wound dressing.
Upon arrival, the team found the patient lying face down on the ground, with a pool of blood — a distressing sight. The situation was urgent. Dr. Ding quickly ran to the patient to conduct a physical assessment and determine the severity of the injuries. Nurse Wang provided support, and together they worked to stop the bleeding, dress the wounds, and stabilize the neck with a cervical collar. Driver Zhao Rui assisted by maintaining order at the scene and ensuring a clear path for the rescue operation. After careful examination, the team found that aside from head bleeding, the patient showed no other apparent injuries or discomfort. They carefully lifted the patient onto the ambulance, initiated ECG monitoring, and provided oxygen therapy to stabilize vital signs. The patient was then safely and promptly transported to the nearest capable hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
