Recently, the Liqiao 120 emergency workstation of the Shunyi branch center received a task. A 49-year-old male patient in a village fainted and needed rescue urgently. After receiving the task, the crew set off immediately. On the way, the doctor, Liu Siyang, contacted the patient's family quickly, comforted their emotions, and guided them on the first-aid measures for the patient.
After arriving at the scene, the family informed the crew anxiously that the patient had lost consciousness for half an hour. Liu Siyang assessed the patient's condition quickly and found that the patient had lost consciousness, carotid artery pulsation, light reflex, and breathing, and his pupils were dilated. The electrocardiogram showed electromechanical separation. Liu Siyang diagnosed the illness as cardiac arrest. Faced with a life-and-death emergency, the emergency crew performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately on the patient on the spot. At the same time, the nurse Li Ting used a simple respirator to assist the patient's breathing and established intravenous access according to the doctor's instructions. The crew worked together to lift the patient onto the ambulance and went to the hospital quickly for further treatment.
During the transfer, the emergency crew try their best on the rescue all along. They had been performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and ECG monitoring for the patient continuously. Meanwhile, they contacted the hospital emergency department, reported the patient's condition, and opened a green channel, to prepare for rescue in advance.
With the unremitting efforts of the emergency crew, the patient recovered his autonomous heart rhythm about twenty minutes later. At the same time, the ambulance arrived at the hospital, and the patient was sent to the rescue room immediately for further rescue. The crew left the hospital after Liu Siyang and the medical staff had a detailed handover.
In this mission, the crew worked closely together, forming a tacit emergency team. Emergency work is to go all out, fight for every second for life, race against time, and fight against "death". The 120 crew are the guardians of life and the light of hope in the dark!
