On windy days, pedestrians should pay attention to safety outdoors, avoid walking or standing next to buildings, billboards, or big trees, to prevent from injuries caused by falling objects. In the event of an accident, it is recommended to remove the heavy objects from the injured person in time to ensure safety, and call 120 at the same time to get professional help as soon as possible.

Patients with respiratory diseases should wear masks to prevent floating dust in the wind. If the dust enters the eyes, it is necessary to rinse with clean water and avoid rubbing the eyes. Cold air during the changing period of seasons not only brings temperature reduction, but also may induce or aggravate respiratory diseases, osteoarthropathy, etc. Middle-aged and elderly people should pay special attention to the warmth of the following parts.

Head. Most of the heat is emitted from the head. It is advised to wear a hat, and cover the forehead preferably. It is necessary to dry the hair before sleeping if you wash your hair at night.

Knee joints. When the minimum daily temperature is below 5°C, it is recommended to wear thermal underwear.

Shoulders and back. Cold on the back of the neck may lead to pain and stiffness. You can wear a thermal vest to protect your back and navel.

Legs and feet. It is not recommended to wear tight shoes, socks, or leggings. Taking a foot-bath with hot water, and wearing loose socks when sleeping could help keep the body warm.

Waist and abdomen. There are rich blood vessels but no muscle or fat tissue under the umbilicus. Coldness may cause gastrointestinal dysfunction. It is recommended to wear high-waisted pants to cover the stomach.

Mouth and nose. Coldness could invade the lungs with breathing, resulting in productive cough and other symptoms. It is suggested to wear a mask is to protect the respiratory tract.
