Recently, the dispatch and command center of the Beijing Emergency Center received a 120 call from a 15-year-old student of the third grade of a middle school, saying that an explosion happened in his home and he had injured himself. After the 120 dispatcher quickly asked the patient's address and other basic information, an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the patient's home. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, the crew was shocked. The child's hands were bleeding badly. After the inspection and bandaging by the emergency doctor, he found that his hands were missing, his face and chest were burnt to varying degrees, and his eyes were also injured. Afterwards, the crew immediately helped the child to contact the parents and rushed to the hospital quickly. After inquiries, it was learned that the injured child was a third grade student from a middle school who was about to take the high school entrance examination. Out of love of chemistry, he did a chemical experiment in his bedroom. Unexpectedly, the tragedy happened and he was seriously injured. Fortunately, it did not cause more serious fire accident. However, due to the serious injury and the lack of hands, the children's future study and life will be affected surely.

Here are some tips from 120. Children of this generation like to explore and innovate, and parents also give much encouragement and support. They would love to buy material packs for small science experiments for their children. While doing small scientific experiments at home and enjoying the fun, students must pay attention to safety. Children need to be accompanied by their parents, and they must take safety precautions. They must not operate in violation of regulations, nor can they innovate and explore at will. It is not recommended to do experiments related to chemical reagents at home, which needs to be carried out in a formal professional laboratory under the guidance of professional teachers to avoid unnecessary injuries. Life is wonderful, and the future is promising. It is hoped that similar tragedies will not happen again.
