Summer vacation is a period with high incidence of children and adolescents drowning. There are some reasons. On the one hand, there is a lack of awareness of safety precautions, and the children cannot rescue themselves calmly in the event of an accident. On the other hand, improper first-aid measures may lead to missed rescue time. It is better to learn the safety knowledge of preventing drowning and self-rescue and mutual rescue of drowning rather than feeling sorry.
Here are some first-aid methods after drowning. First-aid personnel at the scene should move the drowning person to the shore as soon as possible and call 120. During the time before the ambulance arrives, corresponding measures can be taken first. 1. Remove the obstruction of the nose and mouth by quickly prying open the mouth, and removing the sludge and debris in the pharynx and nose. 2. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Once the drowning person’s heart stops beating, experienced life-saving personnel should immediately take cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Chest compressions should be conducted firstly with both hands crossed for compression, at the middle and lower position of the two nipples. The depth of the compression is about 5 cm, and the frequency is 100-120 times per minute. There should be about 2 artificial respirations in every 30 chest heart compressions. It is necessary to keep the drowning person warm. If the drowning person is wearing a coat, you should take it off as soon as possible to avoid wet clothes taking away body heat.
