As the "May Day" holiday approaching, most people can avoid driving after  drinking based on a strong sense of safety. But many people may not know that  the danger of driving after taking medicine can be mor dangerous. People should  avoid taking these medicines before driving. 1. Antihistamine component makes  people sleepy. Representative drugs: Gankang(Compound amantadine tablets),  Tylenol, Chlorpheniramine. Most cold medicines make people dizzy and sleepy,  which is caused by antihistamines. Some antipyretic, anti-allergic and other  medicines also contain these ingredients, which will suppress the central  nervous system and cause drowsiness. Sedative hypnotics also make patients prone  to drowsiness causing traffic accidents while driving. 2. Analgesics ease  people’s reaction. Representative drugs: Fenbid, Ibuprofen. Driving uses a  combination of physical and mental power. The road conditions are complex and  changeable, and the driver's control and response are very important.  Painkillers such as ibuprofen affect people’s nervous system and affect the  control and response when driving. Drugs used to treat epilepsy can also reduce  the excitability of brain cells, making patients unresponsive and out of spirit.  3. Alcohol-containing drugs. Almost all tincture drugs contain alcohol.  Representative drugs: Huoxiang Zhengqi water, Yunnan Baiyao tincture, Jizhong  tincture. Some people are tested as "drunk driving" after drinking Huoxiang  Zhengqi water. This is a normal situation, because some Chinese medicines will  use ethanol in the processing. People may be detected as drunk driving after  taking it. In addition, almost all tincture medicines contain alcohol, such as  Yunnan Baiyao tincture, it is best to drive a car at least half an hour after  using it.
