At 4:11 on November 2, Beijing 120 received an call from a man who was injured falling from the Shangqing Bridge in Haidian. The dispatcher immediately sent the Yuxin ambulance team of Haidian District to rescue him. It was still dark outside. Due to the large area covered by the bridge, the man did not know his specific location. The dispatcher friended the man’s WeChat and used the positioning function of the application, determining his position. It turned out that the man was not near the Shangqing Bridge, but on the south side of the Jingxin Shangdi Bridge. The ambulance team immediately went to the new location for search and rescue.

After a long period of searching, it was found that the injured man was trapped in the fence under the bridge and could not be reached for treatment. The team immediately contacted the public security and firefighting sectors. The three parties cooperated to rescue the man together. After initial inspection, it was found that the injured person was drunk and accidentally fell from the 10-meter viaduct, causing lumbar spine trauma and upper limb fracture. His blood pressure was 80/48mmHg and he was near shock state. After the first-aid measures of the team, he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Here are some reminders for our readers. Life is not a play and there is no rehearsal for it. Traveling by car and driving should be done in good physical condition. Please never drive a car after drinking alcohol or taking drugs. It is suggested to drink mildly in daily life and do not drive after drinking. If you have a drunk friend with you, you must safely send him or her to the destination.
